Work as a webcam model can offer many beneficial conditions, one of which is a free work schedule. But how can you do everything when there are only 24 hours in a day?
Scheduling
I usually plan my schedule a week in advance so it is much easier for me to make time for school, family, meeting with friends, or shopping. My work schedule is organized so that I work weekday evenings to get enough sleep before classes, and Friday and weekend nights, which is when the site has the most members. My work days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, but you can often find me online on Saturday as well.
My day
My normal weekday goes something like this: I wake up, go to shower, get ready and go to school. I’m a 3rd year University student, but I don’t plan to work in my profession. After couples I can stay and spend time with classmates, or I can go straight home and start preparing for the broadcast. My income from webcam allows me to rent a separate apartment and live on my own, but I also visit my parents from time to time, most often on days when I’m not working.
Preparing for the broadcast
Before the broadcast I always take a shower, then I choose an outfit for the stream. Then I do my makeup, style my hair, and sometimes I paint my nails or get tattoos. I really like to experiment with my appearance, so I always have piercings, colored lenses, false eyelashes, and more in my house. Right now I’m thinking about adding colored wigs to my collection. While I’m getting ready for a broadcast, I like to listen to music, sing along or dance – it always helps to improve my mood and get in the mood for work.
The workplace
When I’m done with getting my image ready, it’s the turn of my workspace. I adjust the lights, sometimes changing the arrangement of the lamps to change the picture in the frame. Then I take out all the things I might need during the broadcast – sometimes I change several times during the broadcast. I turn on the computer, check the webcam and myself in it and get to work. By the way, a little tip – always have a bottle of water on hand, sometimes it’s really helpful and you don’t have to pause the broadcast to run out for a drink. Or you can surprise your viewers by using water in your show.
Weekends
On weekends, I like to sleep in as long as possible – probably one of the reasons why I work at night. If I decide to spend the day at home, most of the time I cook and watch shows and videos of my favorite bloggers. Sometimes I spoil myself by delivering all sorts of goodies or inviting friends over to visit. If I want to spend the day away from home, then I either do some shopping, or explore all kinds of atmospheric and interesting cafes in the city, most often with my friends. And in the evening I go home and start working. It’s very rare, but I take time off from work to go to the cottage with my parents.
